2 ideas to make your small business marketing stand out in Chicago
Saturday, 16 February 2008 by Mark Cramer
Talk to your marketing agency about how you can make your Chicago business website become more visible. There are two ways that you can improve your website visibility.
1. Have your marketing agency create a blog (web log) for your company to let people know about your products or services. Once your blog is online, you will be able to begin a two way communication with your customers. Be creative, timely and write about things that you believe your customers will find interesting. Ask them to comment and post their comments on your blog. When you write about your company, and link to information that your customers find useful, you create a buzz. Best of all, once your blog is up and optimized correctly, you will be able to create user generated content as often as you like, without contacting your marketing agency each time you want to make a change.
2. Find a marketing agency that understands social media and can help you increase visibility of your brand. You don’t have to outspend your competition if you have the right marketing agency. Outsmart your competition and contact Mark Cramer at Beyond Big Marketing. Big Black pencil is a Chicago-based marketing agency specializing in small business marketing, advertising, branding, social media, traditional marketing and website design.

I think this post was right on! It is funny I am reading this because I shot a video last night and I talked about this topic in my own words and with my own style ; D how it seems that a lot of the young, coming up, making big money for the first time gurus think the power is in the bling and all it does is gives the newbie entering this industry a false sense of what this industry is about!

Search engines often overlook what you might assume are some of the web’s best pages. Just think of the tools many designers use to make web pages exciting. Great illustrations, stunning photos, animation and emoting music. Throw them all onto your pages and the world’s most important web ’spiders’ might just crawl right past you.
